Ok guys I am officially looking for another car does not have to be perfect and I will drive to get it. Perfer a convertiable and or 4 speed. Biscayne/Bel Air or SS is a bounus as is buckets and console. Will be considering anything though. Looking to spend around 10,000.00 give or take a few. But for the higher price would like a fairly rust free car if possible. drive train does not matter as I will be suppling the one coming out of my Impala in the next few weeks. Anyone has a good lead please let me or Donny Brass know. Thanks Paul
Paul: Just drive down Harper just south of Old 8 Mile. On the east side of Harper (across from the Kroger) is a 1966 Impala SS. It's parked in front of a closed van conversion/parts store. Red with white convertible top and black bucket interior with a huge FOR SALE written in the back window. No engine call out with the badge on the front fender so I would assume it's a 283 car. It's parked there almost every day. Looks like it could use a cosmetic resto to make it sparkle again. :Brow:
Any interest in a 70 Impala 2 door? Green w/ saddle int. 350 2 brl. th350 duals, very solid 82000 original miles. Will need front seat (bench) cover, lower rear quarter panel, and a Fresh BLACK paint job would be just right. Reasonable!
Wow, there's a fresh idea for a Pure Stocker Hmmmm, a full size LS-5 70 Impala :Brow: Great idea!!!! :3gears:
Saw that one Frank called the number voicemail always awnsers and the guy never calls back. It is a 283 car with buckets and console too. I have been calling since Thursday will try again now. Thanks Paul
Send me some pictures Netmindr36@aol.com I actully have a 70 Impala convertible I have found, 350 auto but whats weird is theres a clutch pedal someone has cut off hanging under the dash and the brake pedal is small like a 4 speed set up. Not sure if you could get a manual tran is 1970 was gonna investigate. Paul
Funny Tom the motor I taking out of the black Impala is a 512 casting 390hp 1970 LS-5 block. Would be interesting .. Paul
Was watching that one too but am a little sceptical as he has no build sheet and you can get the dealer paper work he has repop. I actully sent him a few messages asking for pictures of the heads Intake and carb and the casting numbers and a few other things and he never responded. Plus his Buy it now is a little crazy don`t you think? Would like to know what he really wants for it . Thanks Paul
Paul, try that Ugly Duck Bar/Grill (formerly Bourke's Bar). The car is always there later in the day. I wonder if the owner works at that pub??? C'mon, get your Sherlock Holmes insurance investigator hat on, and start pounding the beat. It has to belong to somebody working in that row of buildings on that side of Harper. Or do they work at Krogers???
The Ugly Duck is right next to that old van conversion place on the southern end of the row of shops.
Paul, I can take some pics tommorrow and get them to you later in the day. It is one solid car, other than that rear quarter extension. Pics coming tommorrow! :TU:
You'd think this guy would at least show up with a car to one race before going all Tom Miller on us..........
I sent them through that kodak easy share thing, it is kind of slow. My email tells me it was done at about 11:15 pm. If you have trouble with it let me know and I'll send another way. :TU:
Heres one in your own backyard. Check the August issue of Cruis'news on page 85. There is a 1969 Belair 2 door post for sale. $2800 248-894-7797. Might be worth checking out.
Thanks Ken called on it and it was sold Sunday before the paper came out. Guy also has a convet 69 left my number if he decides to off it thanks for the heads up.. Paul
Checked out that 66 convert last night, guy wants $8500.00 and the thing is a pile. Interior is shot rt 1/4 is flapping in the breeze rt and lt rockers are gone and someones old aluminum window trim is in it`s place. Floors are gone he had a piece of sheet metal laying on the floor to cover the holes, and it is loaded with old dough that is cracking needs all outer sheet metal trunk front ,rear floor pans and a decklid to be right. So I passed lol thanks for the heads up keep em coming I will find something. And if not I will keep adding to the money pile and sooner or later I should be able to afford one of Millers cars lol he might even have a fullsize chev soon lol. Seriously considering Larks 70 impala 2 door looks nice and was a cool color citrus green.Trying to find info on options if 70 came with buckets and console and the hottest motor available. LS5 is nice but Ls6 is better. And the block in the 67 is correct for 70 LS5 aand LS6. Paul
