Nice work, can't wait to see and hear this big girl howl.:) (September will be here in the blink of an eye)

Great choice, not another cookie cutter car here.

I like the way she's looking too... Nice job on bringing her around.

Nothing wrong with girl with a little "badonkadonk" going on.

    Thanks Frank!

Made some choke tubes for it today so the choke can function properly. I bought a set for a 67 Mustang with a 390 and was able to unbend in places, bend in other places and make what I needed. No one makes 66 full size ford / thunderbird choke tubes. Not Inline tube, not classic tube, not right stuff detailing. Nobody. Choke works but linkage a little sticky. I just need to pull the choke thermostat and make sure everything is ok inside the housing. other than that, choke came on, high idle worked, etc, etc. I'd have messed with it more but ended up doing an intake plenum on my sister-in-laws 01 Grand Prix. Last Saturday I "un-modified" the kick down rod and in the process of properyl adjusting that itme, found that wit hthe accelerator pedal to the floor it was actually only about 80% open! Fixed that too. Can't wait to take a test ride now!

Thanks Tim! I'vw gotten a lot more done since my last update. awhile ago I had picked up the missing HVAC vacuum canister from a 7litre forum member. Well, I installed that last weekend and ran the vacuum lines from the engine ot it and from it to the line that goes to the interior of the car. After some trouble shooting, I found he vacuum line INSIDE the car was disconnected at the firewall (nipples on either side of the firewall). After fixing that, things still didn't seem to work properly so out came the 1966 shop manual. Ahhh, there we go, vacuum lines at the heater control were in the wrong order. YAY! Everything opens and closes as it should! Next, I ran all the windshield washer lines as they wee all missing. Push the lever and nothing. Great, washer pump is seized. Go figure, it only sat dry for 20+ years. Last Saturday brought a trip to NPD and I picked up a washer pump and some pre-bent fuel lines for fuel pump to carb. One for use with the "factory" Holley and one for use with the 4100. Washer pump installed, reservoir bag filled with washer solvent and hey, IT WORKS! Next up I installed the pre-bent fuel line and things look much better. The previous owner had hooked up a manual choke style cable to work the heater door as the end on the original cable had broken. The Mustang cables were too short so I just re-bent the end on my cable. FIXED! Under-dash clutter is slowly disappearing. Tuesday I fixed the oil leak at the gauge line fitting on the oil filter housing. I also got rid of the compression fitting set up and used a 90 degree quick connect fitting. While visiting the junkyard Saturday, I also happened upon the underhood heater control cover (same as 67) that fit on top of the HVAC box in the engine compartment. NO CHARGE! :)
The Gal got pressed into driver duty mid week as the wife's Sable got totaled, she was rear-ended by a dumptruck last tuesday. The wife is ok but the Sable that wouldn't die (255,000 miles) took one for the team. As a precautionary measure, the Gal is up for sale as we may run short on $$ to buy the wife another ride. The Sable was supposed to make it until our property up in Lewiston sold. State Farm is taking their sweet time verifying the car is a total.
