Looking for opinions

    I spent this morning attempting to do a rusted inner fender repair. On an earlier post on whether or not to epoxy the quarter on my car I could not decide which would be better so I decided to try this and see how it turned out before I made up my mind. Would love to hear if this looks like it should (before filler of course).

    should of ground or sanded at 2-3 inches beyond repair area...bondo...Aluminum Filler etc do not like to stick to paint...I have seen alot worse....

    I just figured that about 1/2" would be good for getting the welding part done. I know before filler/painting it needs to be sanded back further. My thought was that I would have an easier time getting the spatter off old paint than bare metal were it would stick easier.

    looks good to me. I spent today doing the same thing myself. Patches work pretty good. I got mine from year one. It was a litle shorter across than the actual inner fender but it turned out ok.
