I want better brakes, the brakes in my 53 are marginal, and the traffic is worse here than in Pahrump Nv. 13" of vacuum doesn't quite cut it. So it's time for a vacuum pump, I have seen them from the $70 dollar range to over $300.00. Any suggestion?

That's a nice looking set up, but you're right, it's not cheap. Did you go a different route with your brake problem? I ordered a vacuum canister as suggested by a friend, if that don't work I can always add a pump. Thanks for the reply!

I was able to squeeze 15 inches of vaccum out of my next engine. Gives me enough vaccum.

Mine isn't quite that high it's right at 12.5" i'm hoping the vacuum canister will help.
