I'm looking to find a good welding shop somewhere in northeast. I'd like someone that is very good at welding sheetmetal - patch panels and floors to look 'factory'. Am in MA near Boston, but can deliver the car reasonable distance for right shop. I'd be interested in any leads you may have.
How long are you willing to wait to get your car in ? How long are you willing to leave it ? I sometimes pick up and drop off at restoration shops. Usually they are only interested in full restorations. They might consider doing what you want - but you probably would have to wait months for a spot. Then - it might take a year or more for them to fit you in. Jim
My suggestion is to get a decent welder and teach yourself. You'll be money ahead and have a skill that will produce income. Its not that hard and a great many youtube vids to help you on your way.
Don’t forget Red Many things can be done with 2 part epoxy. especially floors. Weld the corners and angles. Most all cars are glued today. And cars wreck at a much higher speed today than years ago. Epoxy is wonderful on most rust panels patched or repaired. of course when sandblasting is involved
Thanks for all the great suggestions guys! Bostoncat68 - thank you for your reply and PM. I plan to follow up on that. If anyone else has any leads for good welder at reasonable price, please let me know. Thank you.
