    Hello,

I have a 76 Estate Wagon (455 motor) that needs some work on the engine. Can somebody please refer me to a trusted mecanic in the DFW area?

First impulse was to take the Buick to a Buick dealership, but it just stood there for days, so now I'm thinking that an independent might be able to help.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

A bit more history on the Buick....

The Estate Wagon was bought the same year that I was born. In it we travelled across the country several times... now, it is my turn at the wheel, but before doing so the car needs some work to be done.

Since I live in an Apt, I am not able to work on the car myself, so I'm looking for a mechanic to take care of the repairs.

I took the car to a Buick/Pontiac Dealer that had good reviews on the web, but the car just stood there for a week. On the last call to the rep I was told that they were waiting on the technical people to "assess what needed to be done", at which time I just went for the car.

I've been browing this forum for quite some time, reading and learning, and now turn to you good people to see if somebody knows of a dealer or independent shop y'all frequent and trust to take care of your vehicules around the Dallas/Fort Worth area

    Thanks in advance

Welcome to the board! What kind of work are you needing done? The only guy I trust that's in TX lives about 250 mi. west of the DFW area. Jim "Stage 2" Turner.
