350 .030 pistons. nobody bother it for 6 days with my bid and then 20 seconds left..hit by a sniper. lost out on the pistons for my other motor. i hope i meet him on the race track someday, i'm going to beat his ass bad with my 350. just grumbling still dont like snipers imho john
John, I don't know what those pistons were you lost on, but TA has a set of used .030 over 350 cast pistons (8.5:1) on their site for $75 http://www.taperformance.com/used.htm Go to the bottom of the page. There are also a couple of 350 cams there too.
Used pistons aren't worth what it will cost to ship them. Don't take chances on such a vital part. For the extra cost, it's not worth taking a chance. You'll be sorry if you do that. Buy new.......egge has pistons for a reasonable price (unless you want forged).
I feel your pain man. In the last few weeks I've lost out on a trio of emblems for my Skylark in the last minute, and a carb for my Mustang as well. That just seems unethical to me, but I guess it's fair. It seems like talking behind someone's back to me though.
eBay You guys are looking at this the wrong way!!! The bit about sniping is a two edge sword. The mistake you made on the pistions is you didn't set your max bid high enough. If a sniper comes in to try to steal a part and you have a higher bid then the the sniper you win the part because the sniper can't come back and rebid because time has run out. AL :Comp:
www.egge.com , 1-800-866-3443. I got my stock pistons from them........price was reasonable, quality excellent, they were freindly to deal with......couldn't be happier. Your motor may be too new, but call them and see what they have.:beer
i dont mind losing an item if everybody is bidding on it. that shows more maturity than 20 seconds from the end and they are the only other bidder. you know what would be worse, if the guy buys them, has no intentions of using them, puts them back on ebay for a higher price, and they are not a buick guy. seen that before. that really burns me up!!! but, the hell with him. i'll find something else....but i wont forget. now back to fast 350's john
Well, After some bidding wars, I now too am a sniper. Sorry, but running a bid up days before it ends is not a good ideal to me. I even go to my faster cable modem computer so I can do it with less than 5 seconds left. Some bids turn into pissing competitions and the amount gets inflated. I choose to watch an item I really want and be there when it goes off so I can go for it in the end. I put a reasonable amount in and if I get beat, then I was not willing to pay that anyway. I have been beat and gotten ill as well. Guess that is part of ebay. Better luck next time on your purchase and hope you find some pistons. I agree with the above post on the used pistons. I would not pay for them and take a chance.
