Lower rear shock mount bolts - plant differences?

    Talking to George N regarding the lower shock mount bolts…I am looking into getting the original type reproduced again. He says he has seen the smooth he’s with two wrench flats on many original cars.

    Is this mount pictured a flint only deal?

    Adam, Is this what you’re referring to? I took these off #380 and bought what you have pictured as I thought what I had were aftermarket.

    Adam,
    The various NOS spirals I have, and the ones I took off cars, all look like the ones pictured above on the Skylark.

    Originally the studs have the hex piece cast into them, then the shock slides on, the flat washer was then installed, and was “staked” on.

    That is the way I have seen all the spiral and Pliacell shocks for our cars.

    Maybe others have seen other styles????
