ive been looking and posting for one also, seems to be none, someone said to look for a whole car and yank motor but i dont have room for another car. just a motor, good luck, if you find an extra please keep me in mind, thanks, john.
OK Greg.... I may- *MAY* -have a lead on several. I had a guy down recently who claimed he couldn't find ANY Buick 350's but found a BOATLOAD of 455's. More to follow....
leads Hey George, I scored a 71 block & heads today locally. Just backed her in the garage. Would rather land a 75 ish block for this build up. I also found two what looks to be 400's in the process locally. Thanks Greg
motor John, I have a 70 455 motor that was supposed to be rebuilt on my garage floor. I was just trying to stay away from it as I believe it requires extra oil mods compared to the 71 and up. It maybe up for sale later. Are you the guy that sold a Buick within the last few years and used Reids Automotive to build the motor? If so we spoke on the phone back then. I should probably go back and check to see if the 400 engines have big port heads. Both were on LaSabre 400's. Should have brought my camera. One of the earlier year LaSabres although 4-door was really solid for up here and a few good parts for someone. Wild looking rear tail light lenses. Thanks Gary but it looks like I might be okay. Later Greg
nope wasnt i, i may be interested when you decide, im looking for a couple rebuildables, mostly complete, and on the lower price scale, i have one i need to pick up for 200 but its a 7-8hour drive each way, an older motor i think is fine, i planed on doing those mods anyway if needed, thanks for looking around, you can pm me any details, john.
455 motors Hey John, Not sure if you found a motor yet but there are 3 455's in the want ad this week. Let me know if you need the phone numbers. Later Greg
