I have a 71 gs 350, auto. Putting in a 70 Wildcat Sf code 455, turbo 400. The turbo 400 transmission has the medium legnth tailhousing. I know the GS used the short style. Has anyone out there used the longer style turbo 400 transmission, and what mods did it take for this to work. The shifter is the floor design. Main concern, pinion angle.
It has been done and yes the pinion angle won’t be optimal. New driveshaft needed, it at least shorten yours and switch front yokes. why not use the th-350?
