Make 69 door from a 68?

    Searched forums and no luck:

I am restoring a 69 Skylark Custom Convertible. My doors need some work, but I recently got a connection with 68 convertible doors that may be in better shape. Question:

Can I remove the vent windows and window guts out of the 68 doors and use my 69 window and guts in those 68 doors? Or is the door window assembly (bolt holes etc) different between those two year convertibles? Thanks in advance.

Watching since I don't know the answer. I do know the 69-hardtop door and 69 convertible doors are the same.

The outer skin of the doors are different where the vent window slides in, and the inner skin is completely different due to being configured for the vent window crank assembly.

My advice is if you need to fix your 69 doors then you could use sections from the 68 doors or find ones from the correct year.
