Hi, as you all know - I have a Electra -68 convertible who need like a full body restoration... due to alot of ugly rust-repairs..

But its hard to find a convertible project car, it's mutch more easy to find a hartop..

In short terms: Will it be hard, to take the Convertible parts and place on the nice HT body, and the HT roof on the Convertible body...
(= one nice convertible, one ugly hardtop - but two running cars, and alot less work, insted of move everything else seperate... fenders, floor, etcetc.)

This can't be all to rare project? making a HT to a Convertible?

    Thanks! :TU:

I've seen the local body shop do it twice, he specializes in restorations. He did it to a Caddy, I dont know what year, and a 54 Chev. Cutting up the hardtop and convertable, welding the convertable pieces into the hard top. Looked tricky, there was no margin for error.

    CyberT,

Can you add your first name to your signature line??

Also, you are making more work than you need. Find a nice convertible and buy it....much easier and nicer.
