This has probably been asked and answered before but my search attempts have failed to retrieve any old threads. Does anyone know if there is a way to extend the forward/backward movement of the bucket seats on our Skylark/GS cars. For some reason I just can't get the leg room that is available in any other vehicle that I drive. I guess the cars were just configured differently 30 years ago and I am really not that tall at 6 ft. If there is a method to extend the seat travel in these cars please let me know. (And I really don't plan on relocating the seat brackets unless that is my only option.) Thanks for any help.

Inside the tracks you will find a solid steel cylinder that travels on the tracks & acts as a stop at each end. You may be able to modify this & weld it in place.
