My brother is not racing two cars but rather I am prepping an AMC Jav for his son to race. It is his first outing with us as he turned 16 just after Stanton last fall.

I hope everyone will welcome our newbie and tease the pee out of him. He needs to be roundly abused all weekend by one and all.

No one has to worry about him creating carnage in front of them as we are putting him in the slowest thing this side of our tractors that we could find. Heck it may actually be slower than some of the tractors. It is a 343 GO Pack Jav with the terminally awful BW auto and stout GO Pack gearing of a 3.15 limited slip. How high is the timing board able read? If this is not the slowest car/driver combo at this years event somebody should be awfully ashamed of their performance.

I did that with my son a couple years ago at an NSCA meet at Stanton (in fact, my dad ran too, so we had three generations in the same class).

The kid cut a perfect light on the third pass of his entire life...ou:

 

I remember seeing your Dad run that time. Didn't know about your son. Was there with Rob Thomas when you both were running Street/ET. That was a neat class. Rob did well, but didn't go to many meets. Think Larry Fleming won the class that year.

Met a guy down at the local car cruise here last night.( there where 6 gran sports. One was an original owner 66 4 speed car, another a 69 4 speed 400) He told me about this race coming up in June. (he had a stratomist blue 70 GS 455 automatic, that he plans to race in the F/S class) Man he really got me juiced to see this race. I call the Clarion, and got a room. Anyone else from the board going down? I always enjoy meeting and talking to Buick people. Coming in Thursday night. Can't wait to smell the smoke! :beers2: Jim
