I have a '65 Deluxe Special wagon, That I'm in the process of upgrading the brakes from single to dual resovoir master cylinder. The master cylinder that I put on the car is a napa part for '67 Skylark with 4 wheel drums. The problem that I have is, the nut on the 1/4" brake line is to small for the master cylinder and I can't find a bushing to make up the difference.

Jeff, I'm about to do the same upgrade for my car,('65 Wildcat chassis). Is '67 the first year for the dual resorvoir? Do you have the part # handy? I'm planning on changing all of the brake lines as well.

Yes '67 is the first year for the dual resevoir master cylinder. The napa part # is 4736235, that is for a new(not rebuilt) master cylinder. The price is about $40. I guess no one on this board has done the swap from single to dual resevoir M/C ? :Do No:

There was a thread in the Bench section titled "General question about master cylinders" It covered this same swap. Hope it helps.

I converted my 65 Skylark to power brakes and a dual ms . Got the rebuilt MS for a 68 Skylark from Napa. I got the new pipes from eBay, but they were drop shiped from http://www.inlinetube.com/. So I know they make the double tubes and the distribution block as a set for our cars. You may need to call them as it may not be listed.

    It all fit perfectly.

    Jeff,
If you dont mind opening up the hole in the firewall a bit, you could go to an S-10 aluminum master. I did this on my 68 you saw the other day.
