So, who is going to win the Masters' this weekend?

I think it's Tiger's week, but with the predicted rain, it could be determined by who gets lucky in the rain...

I like Phil too. I was very happy when he won last year.

You DO know he isn't really a lefty... all right-handed except he plays golf backwards...

(I write and eat and shoot left-handed and do everything else righty... weird, isn't it?

    I did not know that:beer

At least he plays left-handed. And there's something about that blade putter I like..

I do everything left-handed except use scissors. Since no one had left-handed scissors in grade school, I had to learn the hard way!

Don't mean to be rude. :Brow: .... but you forgot an option in your poll: Don't Care

    Sorry, I could't resist.

I know I am a minority, but I just don't get the fascination with golf. :Do No: I can sorta understand someone playing the game, but have no idea why it's such a popular T.V. attraction. :error: :boring:

Again, I'm not meaning to be rude....just curious about the World's addiction to Golf. :puzzled: :Do No:

Is there another game where you call penalties on YOURSELF and integrity is priority ONE? Is there another game that is as individual as golf where there is NO ONE to blame for errors, mistakes in judgement, poor execution or stupidity or where good play reflects only on the individual? Is there another game where the rules/etiquette require you NOT disrupt your fellow competitor? In football, do you play against the football field, baseball, the baseball field.. no, you play against other people. In golf you play against the elements. Tell me another game that requires complete concentration of energy and mental capacity for the ENTIRE game which takes 4-5 hours? No time out, no half time, no locker room, no substitution, no substitution of equipment, no coach. How about the instant consequences for your actions and an immediate opportunity to overcome the last bad move? And what about the range of skills required? Your entire personality and fortitide (or lack of) are exposed at all times. How do you react to adversity? How do you react to defeat, victory, etc?

As Jack Nicklaus once said (paraphrased), I can tell all I need to know about a man in 9 holes of golf.

If you've never tried to play it you can't appreciate what it takes to be even moderately competent. If you've never watched a low handicapper, same deal, and if you've never seen a PGA pro play you're missing out on an incredible exhibition of skill.. these guys are GOOD!

It is the single greatest game ever invented! Except for the sandbaggers, it's still the one where character actually counts for something.

Much less seriously, for those of you who still don't get it so probably never will, try to find the Robin Williams speel on golf. He imitates a drunken Scotsman who's inventing golf over a beer. It is absolutely hilarious.

Is there another game you can play while partaking :beer without great risk of injury? Debatable.

Can anyone understand the facination with World Wrestling.. now that's a something to question one's intelligence.

No offense taken, I really like living on the 7th fairway of a course that gets very little play where I can scoot around the course in 2-1/2 hours any old time. More players crowds my style. :TU:

    Sorry guys

I went for the field. I'd love to see Padraig Harrington do it, so I'll make him my long shot pick. The Retief Goosen has the game too, along with many others.... Add Ernie and those 2, and they're the only "outsiders" I'd like to see win. :Brow:

    Well said Gary. :TU:

I'd like to add one more to the list.

Where else can the average person occasionally perform on the same level as the pro's?? The feeling of knocking a shot within a foot or two of the cup, for a birdie, Priceless. Even better, same shot for an eagle, what a feeling. :beer

Let's not forget a "Hole-in-one" (I've never had one), or a "Double Eagle", 3 under par on a hole, had one of those 20 years ago.

    buickdav Kris' other half.

    David Duval,

I got to watch him on a couple occasions. A real "striker" when hes "on". I don't think Tiger is into his mental game lately for some reason. I have watched him lose it a couple times(well for a pro) after a bad shot. Unfortunately, David D. was in like 40th place last time I checked.

    Oh Tom, an Albatross!!!!

You "Da MAN", so cool. :bglasses: That is what I need, I have made eagles in every way possible (ace on a par 3, chip in on par 4, putt on a par 4, chip on par 5, putt on par 5, but NEVER the elusive albatross). However, Tuesday while playing, a buddy was 3-4 feet, and it looked as if it hit the hole. Yeah, he blew the putt! :Dou:  :Do No:
