i am in the process of having my car painted, body man called me yesterday saying we should remove the material under the hood so when he paints stuff doesnt fly off of it,he said it might get wrecked taking it off,is there such of a replacement or do you just leave them off if they crumble.thanks for your help.

Hey Ray, probably a good idea to get the old crumbly stuff out of there so it doesn't get in the new paint. You can buy new ones from Year One or some of the other vendors. John

Times 2X! Probably was installed with contact cement. Spray glue on the new stuff for a finished look. May wanna have the body guy douche the hood underside with some thinned out primer to get ahead of future problems. ws

I installed some new insulation from Legendary after re painting the underside of my GS hood. The new stuff is almost as fragile as the old- when I pressed one side in against the edge it started to tear so be careful when installing yours. Maybe the fact that it tears easily is because it is imflamable?
