I'm just curious, Am I the only person who drives their cars? Reliable carriers picked up my Buick for the show this morning , weather was Okay (misty rain), Mike, the driver checks in the car and asks if it's OK to start/drive the car ? My reply is sure, why not and he says "His other clients wanted their cars pushed on (the truck) so the engine paint won't burn off" I'm not judging the owners , they were outstanding restorations (mopars) .. Beautiful cars, probably better than new!' I'm thankful my car is for display only... To be truthful I have entered and won many large events over the last 40+ years, this one is clearly out of my league ! My car has accumulated at least 800 miles and still needs to have the correct distributor , headlights , master cylinder and a few other details , I have all the parts just no time...... I'm looking forward to meeting you guys.. I am also very happy not to compete in this show ! Stay safe all !....... Regards..... Frank.
Ditto! ^^^^ I'm in the same boat Frank, my car has been driven for the past 12 years and is in no where near the condition of most of the cars on display, which is why my car won't be competing...... but that's okay with me. I'm just happy to have been invited by Ajesh to have my car as part of the awesome Buick display he heads up every year. I'm really looking forward to it, see you there!
Last year I spent a good bit of time looking at a Boss 9 that was on the judging rack. Almost every component on the car had original paper stickers or hang tags. It was amazing, essentially a day -1 car (as it would have looked before the factory cranked it to load on a carrier). Completely undriveable, though. Patrick
To be 100% honest I have not driven mine since Adam finished it but as soon as it gets home fron this show it will be my sunny day driver. I talked with a guy at the Frog Follies in Evansville IND several years ago. He had a Boss 9 that he bought new. Drove it home and from that day on it has been rolled in and out of the trailer and garage for shows. I know to each his own but IMHO a waste.
Patrick, was this the Boss 9 you posted about? https://performance.ford.com/enthusiasts/newsroom/2019/04/black69boss429.html
Still plan in going, but waiting for my boss to approve my vacation for Friday that I put in a few weeks ago
