I got pulled over once in my Fairlane by a local and he just dang neart' begged me to drop the clutch when I left. Said "that would be all the reason he needed" (couldnt have anything to do with the fact I was pulled over for "allegedly" street racing). I swear I slipped a 1000 miles off the thing trying to ease away............ Nice ride !!!!:TU: later..............................
You have a beautiful G-Body car! Very nice paint too. What year Buick 350 is in it? Any quarter mile times with the 4 speed?
Thanks Evans, The photo makes the paint look great. Its not:ball: But its not junk either. In a few years I'll have it painted, or I'll try painting it. No quarter mile times yet, but that'll be soon. I just bought a GN 3:42 posi to replace the wimpy 7.5 inch rear with 2:56s(?). I should have the rear installed next week or so. The engine is a stock 69 350 four barrel out of a LeSabre 400. Only mods are headers and 2 1/2 inch duals with H-pipe. The tranny is a New Process A-833 OD. The car runs pretty strong.
Dan, Sounds like a nice ride. The 3.42 posi from a GN should really wake it up- that's a nice low 1st gear in those units. Should help it pull strong. I have a '87 Turbo-T as my daily driver that has numerous upgrades including TA49 turbo, 36 PPH bluetops, 3" downpipe, bigger intercooler, alky injection, etc, etc. The GS is my stocker and the Turbo car is my modified one.
