Merry xmas to everyone here on v8buick! So what did everyone get (or get for themselves :Brow: ) this holiday season?? I got myself that '65 electra :laugh: I also received a new tire pressure gauge, hose reel w/50 ft of 3/8" hose, and a magnetic "dog dish" to put my nuts and bolts in when I'm workin on the car! Are you ready for this, I got socks, 2 chinese apples, and a pencil sharpener. Woo Hoo!!!! Oh yea, I scored a set of ET Drags yesterday since I can no longer get my drag radials to hook up at all since putting on the power pulleys, SP1, and 950HP Holley. Now if I can only get those 15x10 Buick rallyes from Wheel Vintiques to put on a set of 325/50 Drag Radials.......(dreaming.....)
Opened one gift last night that my sister and I had given to us (by the couple that we were staying with). Typical 'dept. store' sized box, except it felt much heavier than clothes or a box of assorted candies - plus, it didn't 'rattle'. Since they're into real estate, we figured it might be some books....WRONG!!:Brow: It was a solid 10 pound piece of chocolate!!!:jd: Biggest 'candy bar' I've ever seen!!!:grin: Anyone got any interesting recipes that use chocolate?!:Brow:
My wife got me the 3 piece Craftsmen roll away, its awesome! I think she had ulterior motives though, like getting me to contain my sprawl so she can get her half of the garage back :laugh: Gotta love a woman that puts up with a buick habit!! :TU:
Heck, my wife wouldn't know what to get me for tools....but she does know my passion for "nerd toys" . She got me a DVD+RW+R\CDRW drive, some blank DVD-R media and a cute mini SnapOn tool box top and bottom in 1/8 scale for all my "nerd" tools to work on my puter.
Well, the cruise I was on was the whole family's big gift, but we still got some stuff. I got a book, shirt, Best Buy gift card, a small portable air compressor perfect for filling up my air shocks and a chrome 4-D MagLite....super bright and able to knock someone unconsious in a single blow :laugh: .
well, we did pretty good here this year-my wife got me a new barbque, the type that hooks to the house gas line instead of puttin up with the "new different" propane tanks you get forced into buying every 2 years nowadays, some books i really wanted but-- i got myself (WITH HER BLESSING) A NEW BMW K1200RS MOTORCYCLE!! after 8 years away from bikes due to a tendonitis problem in my forearms/wrists, i discovered the new BMW's have POWER BRAKES!! after a 90 mile test drive on a friends K12, with no ill effects on my arms, I lucked into an 03 with 592 miles on it for about 2/3 the price of a new one. so its been a 2 wheeled week here. yaaaaaay
Kewl Totally kewl, my bro-in-law has a K12 also. I had a K11RS-SE but prefer the NEW K12's all the way. Sounds like a killer deal. I LUV those bikes. If you see another deal like that...lemme know I'll take it right away. Ain't those ABS Power Brakes awesome !! What color scheme is yours? Did you do the bar backs and peg re-lo kit yet? How is the new seat? J
Ho-Ho-Ho Patch panels for the GS front fenders, and finned aluminum valve covers for the Nailhead. I was especially good this past year.

I'll take a slice of that 10 lb chocolate bar!:eek2: My wife and kids are pretty accustomed to getting me needed tools and car stuff....this year I got two sets (standard and metric)of the Craftsman ratcheting box/open end wrenches from the kids (and yes, they paid for it themselves - ages 15 and 18), and the wife got me an entire set of weatherstripping for my convertible GS! It's getting painted this coming spring (present to myself along with the new TA Stage 1 aluminum heads:Brow: ), so I just HAD to have all of the rubber replaced!
I got American Graffiti and Two Lane Blacktop on DVD, The in-laws gave me a new Craftsman tool set. Mom and Dad got me a GSX rear Spoiler and all new emblems for my GS. My awesome better half got me a set of very nice silver face center caps, and the kids got me a few 1/18 die cast cars for the collection. I guess I was VERY GOOD this year:Brow: I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!!:beer
Heavy BOX Got just 1 auto part from the boys and the better half this year. TA SP1 manifold. Hold on another 30HP.

Christmas gifts My wife and kids got me a new Aluminum Radiator, a TA Adjustable oil pressure regulator, a B&M governor recalibration kit, a set of Accel 300+ plug wires (with nice red Moroso Looms) and California Car Cover NOAH custom fit car cover. All in all a great year for my Lark convertible!:bglasses:
My hubby took in my "new-to-me" sport mirrors to get re-chromed - so will be done and on my GS by April of '03! I guess "little sparkly things" can also be re-chromed screws. I got him a new set of axles for his GN. Buick Christmas presents are great! p
Phillip, What are Chinese Apples? I recieved a new 1/2" impact wrench to replace a very old and tired one I bought at a garage sale some twenty years ago. A stud finder to avoid putting anymore holes in a wall after too many years of tapping on walls to assume where a stud is.:af: 16" on center, yeah, sure it is.uzzled: A gift certificate to Harbor Freight tools which just opened by my house. :TU: Assorted sweaters, Dockers, and of course socks. And the joy of watching my sister in law's loser boyfriend make an ass of himself. :moonu: :laugh:
