Hey, guys, this is going to be my 10th year. I participated 10 years ago, and I've been announcing every other year except 2003. I am happy to have Bob and Dan to include me in this greatest of events.

So I have two requests for ya:

    1) If you are racing, please make sure you fill out the information card correctly. That means specify everything that is being asked. If it's a Stage 1, tell me. If it's a GS455 cloned into a Stage 1, please tell me too. I want to get all the good info out to the spectators, but I want to be earnest about it. That's not to say that any clones will be slighted - after all, we're here to see great racing and great cars, right? Likewise, I want to get your names right, so if you have a last name that's difficult to pronounce, please indicate how I should pronounce it. Ditto for strange towns! And if there's something interesting about your car (original owner? rare color?) please let me know.

    2) With all the years and all the cars in the past 10 years, combined with burned brain cells, I find it increasingly difficult to remember every single person. Don't forget, there's one of me and 100+ of you! So if you say hi, please remind me if I have a blank stare. I don't want to appear rude, and all I need is context to help me out, so please bear with me.

I'll arrive Fri evening so I'll see ya then - drive safely!

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

I was a participant in 2000 and a spectator in 2002 and 2005. I think you have done a great job in the past and I look forward to going again this year (as a spectator). It's nice to be at an event where the announcer actually knows muscle cars.

On a side note, last year there was music being played through the sound system that was so loud that there were times that Icouldn't even hear the cars going down the track. So I was always happy when you were speaking because it meant that the music was not playing.

    Keep up the good work.

I don't have anything to do with the music, but I will try to remember this so it doesn't happen as I am surrounded by track employees in the tower.

Yeah, and Tieman and his sidekick were particularly annoying at 500 dB at Martin. We couldn't even hear Greg at the drivers' meeting. :puzzled:

Maybe it was just me, but I did see Stefina puking behind his truck. :eek2:

(I can say that now, because I know Brian won't see this until he gets to work Monday morning). By then, I'll edit and delete it!
