I haven't seen Dick on the board in quite a long time, so I sent him an email inquiring into his whereabouts:

Here is his response:

Hi Adam,

It's great to hear from you. I miss the board and you guys more than you would think.

This has been a "way too busy" busy year. Since we closed the store in January I have been focusing more on the Real Estate business. This is the busiest year we have seen since the company was founded in 1981. You can imagine what that means to my idle computer time. When we had the store I could sit and read the V8 Board in between customers now I have to be more purpose oriented when I'm on the internet.

I've been traveling more often too. We did launch training for the Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum that kept me on the road for 8 weeks, nice cars for a change. Then I had a symposium in Paris France in June.

All this and trying to spend time with Eric before he goes away to Alma College this fall have kept me from doing many of the things that I would otherwise enjoy doing. He will be the first in our family to play college football. Thumbs up to Eric.

I have put less than 200 miles on the Riviera this year. If I'm not careful I'll forget how to drive it. The BPG Nationals will coincide with the week that we take Eric to school so it looks like I'll have to give up my reservation at the Red Roof Inn. If possible we will do a day or two of the early activities, return home to load up for college, and head for Alma later in the weekend. I'll have to figure it out when the time comes closer.
