I'm going to be making 2 runs out to Binghamton, NY area between now and the end of the year. If you need anything hauled that I can accommodate along the way (or minor side trip to pickup/deliver) PM me and I'll fill you in on details.

First trip: As soon as my next grandson is born (11/2) and everybody's back home OK. Possibly as early as next week 11/5. Truck and trailer will be fully loaded on this run going out, and the trailer will be full coming back, but the truck will be empty.

Second trip: Trailer will be full going out, but truck will be empty. Both truck and trailer will be empty coming back. Not scheduled yet, depends upon timing of first trip.

Normally I go out the Ohio Tpk to I-80 and across, but can either go southern route via Pa. Turnpike or I-90 across NY.

Not free, but looking to help cover expenses and wear and tear on my truck/trailer. Let me know what you've got, where to pick up, and where to deliver on the other end or make arrangements to pick up there.

So what's the going rate for a stop in Cleveland to pick up a short block, store it at your house till next June, then bring it to Martin? :idea2:

Dave, need a pit crew? or Assistant/Rear seat driver? I may have a Buick or 2 to retrieve from my folks, neither will pass inspection in NY, one will work as a winter driver, '82 LeSabre, 4-door, the other is a '85 Riv that has a rusty rear frame, both have 307 Olds engines, with great oil change records, etc. Let me know what your schedule is, I have 6 days vacation left. I think my mom would be better off emotionally if I took both cars and did what needs to be done, save or not, as I owned them both first as the old Class A GM employee purchased cars. They are only 25 miles or so west of Binghamton, between exit 66 and 67 on Route 17/I86.

Think I can accommodate the block for you, Steve, no problem going right by there with the empty truck twice. Also may be able to help with at least one of those cars, Roberta, but may have committed already to bring an Olds race car back out for a guy in Maine that's going to Muskegon. He says he can get it to Binghamton. Don't have specifics, waiting for confirmation from him, since I have an open trailer. See PM later (when I have time to check with him). Planned to stay out there on the second trip for a few days and put the 403 engine in the 85 442 with my brother. Not sure how that would work.

Dave - Can you PM me with a price to haul 2 doors back? ('88 LeSabre T-type doors)

Got someone out your way in need of some doors and need to quote a price to ship.

    I'm here in Binghamton BTW.

    Thanks

Hi Dave, I might need some assistance. I live in N.J. and think i'm buying a 65 skylark out in chicago somewhere. The problem is it has no engine or trans.

Let me know if you can help:pp

Scott, see PM. Shouldn't be a problem as the truck is empty coming back both trips. Looks like the trailer is taken for both trips each way.

First trip out there might be next week. Will know more by the end of the weekend.

    Thanks, Dave

    Joe:

Trailer is full going East each time and won't be able to help you there. No engine or trans wouldn't have been a problem as I have a winch. Most of the cars I've moved around don't run.

If anything comes up on another trip, I'll let you know.

I still have one more trip to go out there to deliver the 85 442 to Rick, didn't get it out there before the winter set in. I'll probably make it in the early Spring. Weather's just too wicked either here or there or anywhere in between to make it now. Hopefully diesel will be a little less expensive then, too. $3.69 a gallon here for the last month, and we're just getting into the heating season.

    Whatcha got in mind?

Just looked at the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow. We're about to get clobberred.

It *was* gonna be basically a BBC long block in pieces...but, we've got a short block here we're gonna check out and see if we can't use it instead...thanks for the offer, and I'll let ya know if'n he decides to nab some parts out east.

OK. Probably not going out until March/April time frame. Having too much fun and enjoying the Michigan winter, wouldn't want to miss a minute of it. :Dou:
