Michael (64 skylark mike) has died, please pray for his family

Dear V-8 Buick caregivers who occasionally are in need of some care of their own,

My friend Michael (64 skylark mike) asked me forward this prayer request. Unfortunately, he has pneumonia and affluenza, along with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is caused by a type of staph bacteria that's become resistant to many of the antibiotics used to treat ordinary staph infections. As a result, Michael was put into ICU back on November 12th and is still there after what is now 18 days and counting.

He does seem to be responding to the treatments and his doctor believes he will make a full recovery, but it is obviously a very difficult process. He asks the V-8 Buick community to keep him and his family in their prayers during this ordeal.

Prayers to Mike....I used to work at Children's Hospital where MSRA could exist among some kids. Hard to treat , it could be walked around.
In some cases, a quarantine condition could exist. Strength and prayers for healing.

I sent Michael an email giving him a link to this thread a week ago Thursday - he didn't respond. I sent a second email on Saturday which also didn't get a reply. I am concerned that his condition has seriously worsened. So please keep those prayers coming.

Dear Ken, Jim, Harold, Rich, and V-8 Buick community,

Thank you for your prayers on behalf of Michael. Alas, all I have is no news at all. Michael had his smart phone in the ICU and was communicating with me. Also, his wife had used the phone once to give me an update. To not have any additional news in over a week is definitely a matter of concern. I promise to update this thread if I finally get some more information on Michael's condition.

I received this email this morning:

Again not much I can really add except this. His wife encouraged Michael to buy his 1964 Skylark because she had a very difficult battle with breast cancer. It was her way to help him deal with her possible death. Now she must cope with his death instead.

I have expressed my spiritual crises on this board before. This most certainly does not help.

So sad to hear the bad news. Still sending prayers to Michael’s family, and of course to you too. The loss of a friend is never easy.
