Believe it or not, I'm going thru one that still has a standard cyl bore. My worst crank, a spare 430, is in being reground. This is a '72 block that I'm going to put '70 heads on. The OE '72 pistons would probably be ok for my usage, but it might be a good idea to change them out after 30+ years-thanks

This just happens to be your lucky day. I have a brand new set of standard cast pistons that I'm selling as I don't have any blocks that can be left standard.

Hi there and welcome to the site 65electra-these pistons went in that 455 soon after the earlier posts and the engine is going down the road in a Wildcat. Don't you have a 401/425 nailhead in your 225?

yes, it came with a 425 originally. i got the car with no engine and i bought a '70 455. I found out later it had a cracked piston on #1. All other cylinders have good compression. I'm looking for any suggestions, thanks
