Yes, it was Johnny Baio. As he left the line I thought to myself how clean/nice the car was..... It wasn't as bad as the photo might make you think....just some left front fender damage, headlight popped out...... he was REAL lucky that he didn't end up on the roof.
I saw those last night.....You car too Bruce. They say John is OK just a little sore,Safety equipment did it's job.
Wow sure hope hes ok. they need to redesign drag strips. Put 20ft wide n a few feet deep lose stone traps down either side then some foam blocks, then a solid barrier. Just doesn't seam to be much room for error and thats how it usually end. A sharp left or right straight into the wall.
