Hey guys and gals up here in not so frosty Montana there is an indoor car show in Great Falls starting March10 thru the 12. This show doesn't allow any repeat entries so if anybody is interested in showing your car I can put you intouch with the guy in charge. Also here in Malta our show is on June 18 so you Billings & Canadians get in gear. Oh I am planning on being in Great Falls that weekend with my car.
    Thanks Rick

Bob that is correct no repeats, they try to keep it new every year. I chatted with him today and he is still looking for cars.
    Thanks Rick

i didnt know there were that many cars in montana :spank:
but seriously, this is something that kills interest in going to any meet. either you see the same dozen or so cars EVERY year, or you end up with a bunch of snobs who think they are too good to park next to the car you have been slaving over all winter, just because you didnt spend as much cash as they did prepping and preaning. we get a decent show in polson every year, and i try to get to spokane when i can. but the locals all seem to be way too happy to dig on nitpicking details. considering the "hot summer nights" thing got moved to great falls, i must not be the only one to think this. if i get my skylark roadworthy in time, i will probably see you there. :TU:

Rob come on up even if its not road worthy. Would be glad to meet you. If your into basketball state class C is right next door. I am hoping for great weather, can't seem to find an enclosed trailer to rent. Hopefully the building is well lit without it the car looks brown. What are talking about "hot summer nights"? Hope you can make it.
    Thanks Rick

"hot summer nights" is pretty much a long sad story. about 5 years ago, a group here in missoula got together to put on a mid-summer promotional that involved classic rock and roll bands, a carnival, and a car show with cruise night. sounds like a great idea, right? well, it was a badly botched disaster which ended up loosing great wads of cash, costing the backers involved as well as sponsers, county officials, and even some of the bands and events coordinators money out of thier own pockets. the next year, ANOTHER group made another attempt, on a slightly more organized and smaller scale, to do the same thing. this time one of the promoters skated with most of the funding, THE NEXT YEAR another attempt was made with a different format, no music [by now no bands would appear] just a cruise night and car show. over a weekend. that year, some of the backers decided that missoula MIGHT not be such a good place for such an event, and opted to move the event to great falls. we still have a car event here mid-summer, but other than cruise night, nothing that attracts a lot of folks. missoula is kinda funny this way. too many chiefs, if you know what i mean.

Rob that story started to ring some bells, that can really sour people in a big way. I know in Great Falls either fathers or mothers day they have a show that is on central 9 blocks long cars on both sides and at the intersection streets. Something like 400+ cars and bikes. Theres alot real nice units there. At the end they escort all of them to the fair grounds (I think). Last year a guy in a short box with a 502 laid back a little then got on it doing a nasty burnout, the cops were on him in a heart beat somebody said he got 6 or 7 tickets including a dui. If all works out I will be at that one also. I guess it all depends on the money flow.
    Thanks Rick
