k yes i know its buick but let me get to it. I guy I know has a 75 park avenue and a 76 225 that he was going to derby BUT I talked him out of it IF i can get him a 440 mopar.Well in the junkyard is a few mopars. three of them have the dist. in the front. one is a 68 fury 3 4 door the other is a early 70's 4 door i want to say newport and the last is an early 60's newport4 door. Its got fins, but the tail lights are in the fins. how can i tell what engine they are. as far as the chevy motor goes. there is a 73 blue bird bus in the yard also.I think its a 454 because its got wide but short valve covers. I guy is willing to trade me a 1971 buick riviera for it. please help me out __________________
The Bus engine is likely a "tall deck" 366...or 427. Big Block Chevy Yes, but not a 454. You may find a 454 in a motor home, but not likely in a Bus. Good luck on the mopars!
