motor stands 71 455 skylark needed

I need some 455 motor stands that bolt to crossmember ,I took some out of the 69 skylark I pulled the 455 out of but they will not fit the holes in my 71 skylarks cross member thanks , Torquemonster

 

can you post a pic of what you have.my 68 uses the same 70/72 style aluminum pads.

No I am sorry , but I went ahead and bolted stands to rubber motor mounts on engine and set it down in the car so I could move car and motor out of the way until I found the correct stands that the holes will line up with the holes in crossmember. If you can give any advice it would be apprecited I am new to the the buick world (been a chevy only man until I drove a 455 in a 69) thanks

are the stands cast or stamped steel?you should have cast ones
and the will have a R or L cast into the underside( so you will have to
lift motor up and yank one off)
you might have the rubber mounts in the wrong bolt holes as the have
two mount positions.

thanks the ones on motor are steel i will not be able to work on it for a couple weeks i need to order cast ones the donor car 69 must have had the wrong stands thanks again !
