I am remounting the sport mirrors on my 1972 Skylark (with new gaskets) the metal retainer wants to bend when tightened down then the mirror will not fit tightly. I have bent the retainers in every direction with the problem not getting any better. Maybe getting a new set ($37.95 each from Year one) may cure the problem? Who else has had this problem and how did you go about geting it done?
