o No: Anybody running an MSD 6A box and how did you wire yours up to a GM HEI?On-line instructions we're kind of confusing as to if you were supposed to splice wires into existing HEI module wires or what I don't know. ou:
No need to splice. Just unplug the wires from the cap and use the connectors supplied on the wires. The white wire from the 6AL goes to the brown wire on the connector. The red wire from the 6AL goes to the pink wire on the connector and with a jumper also goes to the red (power on with ignition feed wire). The center wire at the back on the cap is the ground so make sure you connect to a good ground on the body. The orange wire from the 6AL goes to the connector on the cap where the pink wire originally connected to. The black wire from the 6AL goes to the connector on the cap where the brown wire originally connected to. If you want to use the 4 wire module as a direct trigger to the MSD 6AL that is a slightly different wiring method that requires modification to the stock wiring harness.
