I think you'll find that the most popular mufflers around here, are either Flowmaster, Magnaflow, or DynoMax.

I personally like the sound of Magnaflow, and I really wish I had a sound file of them. They do have a few sound files on their website though, http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/domestic.htm

Those sound good too... remotely like the Super Turbo's... I'd put those on an equally good level.

i went and got the 40 series from flowmaster. have yet to put em on though:Dou: they'er marketed as "the most aggressive sounding" muffler they make. im waiting to get t/a's comp. headers, and two inch pipes into an x-pipe, then the mufflers of corse. is there any advantage or disadvantage to dumping the exhaust before the axle, rather then plumbing it over and out the back? hope it sounds cool, but more then anything, performs better...

It resonates back into the cabin more, and the fumes have a tendancy to find their way into the passenger compartment... and its a bit louder (I think)... but if you can deal with all that...

The first thing I did was put 50 series Flowmasters on my 70.
I love em. I probably would have gone 40s - but with a rag top, you've got to be picky. Wrong muffler choice and you can't even hear yourself think.
