After years of hard work I think its time to add my all original '70 GSX to the 'members rides' section.

I appreciate the time some of you took to answer my questions and point me in the right direction when the answers were harder to find!

If you want to see more including the frame off, rotisserie restoration let me know, I'd be happy to share!

    Claude,

Congratulations on completing your project. THe car looks FANTASTIC!! You should be proud. Now it's time to enjoy the finished product and go for a nce drive :Brow:

I's also like to see pictures of your project including the frame-off. DId you do the work yourself or have a specialty shop do it? I'm also interested in the history of your car: where did you find it, how did you come to want a GSX, etc.

    Again, Job Well Done! :TU:

    Hi again!
According to the documentation from GM the car was built in Flint and shipped May 13, 1970 to Bedard Autos in Levis Quebec.
We will absolutely be in Granby July 27-29 ....unless the car is sold before then.

Here is a little more information on my '70 GSX. I was at a car show near my home town south of Quebec city about 8 yrs ago and I overheard an elderly gentleman telling someone that he had a couple of cars for sale. He mentioned a 50 something Dodge and a 1970 Buick GSX. My ears perked up and I started up a conversation. The following day I went to his home where the car had been stored for about 10yrs. After a lengthy negotiating process that lasted almost a year, the car became mine.
I started collecting parts and information and then spent the next 6 yrs or so restoring other peoples cars to get enough money to start the in home restoration project. It was all done over a 2 year period in my garage nights and weekends with the help of some talented friends. I sent the engine and transmission out to be rebuilt.
This is the first summer that we can enjoy the car completely.
Attached is the link to the photo album and I've added a few restoration pics. They aren't in the right order but you'll be able to see the before and after!

That car is simply AWESOME! Looks like you did a lot of hard work and now have the joy of the end result. The car is really beautiful. Please consider putting the car in the GSX registry. It is free to you and you get all the cool stuff I have been able to dig up on the car in the last few years I have been involved with the GSX registry.
