This is me and my wifes get away car.We attend lots of shows and cruises. The car has the original 401 and tranny. The paint was originally camelot rose and we had it painted camelot rose this last winter. I have tried to keep everything as original as possible but she does have dayton 20" rims just for alittle extra bling. The car has won quite a few shows around Indiana and I love driving it. The car was made the year I was born. When we first seen it my wife and sister tried to talk me into buying it .I told them i didnt want a pink looking car and they said you can paint it and besides it is the year you were born. I have never regretted buying the car. I have been to many shows and have never seen another 62 lesabre and i allways get compliments on the paint. I have people asking me if i want to sell it and I dont think I can do it. This car has been a great car to me and i am proud of my pink car. the pictures of the engine are not mine they were somthing i had in my photos and they are not my 401 iwill try to delete those 2 pics and add mine
A good friend of mine had a 62 Electra 225 convertible that was maroon with the Camelot Rose interior. I thought it was a great combo. Yours is definitely a head turner! :TU:
Hello, just thought your car was awsome.. I had to play around with the photo if you don't mind... The quallity isn't the greatest, cause file was pretty small... If you like and would like a higher quallity one, e'mail larger(original size to my e'mail) and I'll gladly post or e'mail the results.... my address is lacey_803@arvig.net Hope you like.. great car. looks awesome. I also like the color. That´s one of those which nearly no one has on his car today. Most people paint their cars black, silver, white or red. But those "old fashioned" colors are getting lost. If it was my car I would change only one thing. I would paint the frames of the side glass black. So they seam to disappear and would give it a stretched "Hardtop look". Just the door frames. The A and C pillar which are painted white should stay white. Just an idea. Great car anyway.
Good looking '62 :TU: ! I've noticed the weirdest thing this year. I've had my '62 for about 12ish years and in those 12ish years I've seen one other '62 locally and only two or three on the board. For whatever reason, this year I've seen an additional 5 locally and an additional 4 on the board. They seem to be popping up every where, and I can't seem to explain it.
My Dad drove one that was the same color back in the day. Great to see a car like his his old one in such great shape.
What's up with all the 62's? I go away for a couple of months and now there are all kinds of 62's here. Very cool looking car. That Camelot Rose is neat color. :TU:
