 Well, My car came in the mail yesterday, well on a car carrier , I am pretty excited.
I bought it on Ebay a few weeks ago (see Newbie getting a 68 GS in this forum) and it took about 3 weeks to get it from California to Ohio but it was worth the wait.
This thing is as solid as a rock! the only rust I see is 2 dime size bubbles on the lower rear corner of the pass door. It has the original paint which is in need of a repaint because of numerous small chips and scratches and one dent in the bottom of the pass fender but hey, I only paid $2000 for it.
It is white with a light blue painted top( I thought that was different ) a light blue bench seat interior, original , but rebuilt 350 4bbl, rebuilt trans with shift kit and trans cooler, and add-on air conditioning.
The interior needs redone but it is all there and not to bad,I am looking for some buckets, The grill is shot so I will need a '68 GS grill. I bought a set of weld drag lites with decent tires so those will go on soon.
It had some interresting things that I wasn't expecting,
like the Edelbrock vari-jection (water injection)when was the last time you saw one of those setups. And there was a bag in the runk with tire chains in it, another suprise.
It looks like a really great starting point for a project, I can't wait to get started!!!!!!!!!
I'll get some pics soon as it stops rainin!!!!:Comp:

    69conv Thats a BUICK!?

    Congratulations!:TU:
You should be able to find the buckets in need of rer-apulsty easy enough... the grille will be a little harder to find and may be a little pricey. Their should be members of the board that can help you out. Their is one 68 Skylark and one 69 GS being parted out on this board in the parts for sale section...you may want to ask for parts their.
Other than that it sounds like you got a great deal!:3gears:
