Mike, looks like a lot of work has been done on that car, keep it up!What are your plans for the hotrod(wheels, color, power target, etc.)?Good project.
I tried to keep as much of the original interior as possible. Those door panels are original but were completely rotten on the bottoms so I had to do something. I decided that I want to paint the car flat military green, similar to the F-Bomb Camaro while still using all the SS trim and rally wheels. Should be pretty sharp when done. Additionally, I have a 102" steel whip CB antenna to put on, 200-4r to install, custom dash made up of Stewart Warner mech gauges and Buick hood tach, and of course motor to put in. 350 Buick motor has been built with following... New 9.5 CR hypereutic pistons New bearings throughout ARP rod bolts Lunati 67003 cam TA stage 1 springs TA billet roller chain Polished heads with SS oversized valves, 3-angle valve-job, new guides, seals TA aluminum intake Holley 750 Car does have original motor but at 270,000 miles, can only handle 1 more rebuild so I decided to go un-original for now. Rear end has 3.42 GM gears and Posi installed along with all new bearings and seals.
I recently got to the point where I can listen to whats installed and it sounds awesome. I just picked up 2 10" subs because the lows just are not there. In the trunk they go. Stereo is crystal clear at ear-bleeding levels.
Here it is...all done...finally.... I would have liked to have painted it more of a Military Olive Drab but budget constraints only allotted for tinted primer for now...
