    :eek2:

  I mean on the car.

It actually lists maybe 2 inches to starboard. There is no evidence of crash damage and it drives fine and doesn't pull.

This has to be just a worn out spring, right?

Here it is as it sits regularly:

and here it is with a little help:

I looks more severe in those pics than in reality, but the lower passenger side is obvious to me.

Could it be anything less drastic than a spring change, and the accompanying full suspension rebuild that might as well happen at the same time?:Dou:

    Thanks

I've been told that its not uncommon to have the front spring break and let the car drop. You won't notice a difference in ride or handling either. It makes sense with the weight of that 455 riding around on the front end for 37+ years. This is just what I've been told, no idea if it may be the issue at hand. Goodluck.:TU:

Mine sagged to the driver's side.....it did it long before I put by big Arse in it for the first time......so don't respond with the snide remarks.

Mine has no signs of a wreck or bent anything either. I replaced all the springs and the sag is less pronounced but it is still there. When you put the old springs next to each other, one is taller than the other. They appeared to be the same springs just one must have been weaker....or.....the car is really heavier on the drivers side (without me in it). It doesn't make sense to me. I have no explanation. Surely the original springs weren't different lengths.

I probably could have swapped sides with the springs and everything would have leveled out. :pp

Weird. I changed the springs when I installed the 455 into my 71 GS, so I am WAY too familiar with the process to look forward to it.

I wonder if I should just put one of those old school spring spacers in it...

My girlfriend's 65 Camino leaned to the driver's side 3 inches lower than the passenger side. I assumed it was a heavy set previous owner. I installed new stock height springs and it still leaned 3 inches to the left, only it was 4 inches taller. I had to cut 1 1/2 coils off the passenger side front coil spring, and 1 full coil off the driver's side. It corrected the lean, but I ffound out from the alignment guy that the driver's lower control arm was bent a little. We both concluded that the damage wasn't severe enough to warrant it's replacement, and it doesn't chew up tires either.

Check the rear passenger side spring.. if its cracked or sagging it will cause the drivers front to come up a bit...
