hey guys im new here. My name is bobby im 22 and i hail from ventur ca. i have a 71 electra i got from my grandfather when he turned 90 and a 63 lesabre i bought with my fiance for 500 bucks. the 71 was my daily through highschool all the way up until a few years ago when i broke down and bought a newer truck. its gone through alot of stages over the years (as you will see) and has currently been sitting for over a year because i bit off a little more than i could chew when i decided to strip it all down to bare metal and start over.... bad idea and i only got it half stripped and reworked when i got burnt out. i decided to fish the stuff that i started and just do it satin grape and flake the roof so i might be able to drive it before next year. My fiance and i bought the 63 about 2 years ago for 500 bucks complete fron the second owner with 48k miles on it. we got it running and driveable and kinda forgot about it... she wants to sell it "cause we dont have room for it"
    any way heres the pics
wish i had pictures of the 71 when i first got it but i dont. here it is after i shaved everything lowered it and pull off the vinyl and fixed the cancer.

Welcome, you have done some interesting things to your car. I like the frenched taillights. What have you done to the engine? what did it cost to bag it? How does it ride? I'm impressed with your willingness to jump in and do the work. Please know you are welcome here, just know that some here want every car original and some say its your car do what you want.We need more customizers here to show us new ideas. again welcome

Hello and welcome from Milwaukee Wisconsin. Those are two nice rides you have there. The custom LEDs are a nice touch. And the metalwork looks good as well. That 63 with only 48k looks pretty decent for 500 bucks. I wish I could find something like that around Wisconsin.

the motor is stock minus an edelbrock carb and pertronix ignition. its got 250k plus on the bottem end its on its second set of heads and 3rd or 4th transmission. it cost me about 1700 bucks in parts to bag and it rides really nice at the right psi.

    thanks boss
the body is kinda rough for a ca car but its been in beach communities all its life the interior is almost new i tripped out when i first saw it. when we bought it it had been sitting for 6 years. we towed it home and poured some gas down the carb and it fired right up... gotta love buicks haha. i dont know if i mentioned it before or not but it came with the window sticker and owners manual and dealership plate frames from butts buick jag and rolls royce in santa barbara thats a funny combo for a car lot

    northcorner Guess what I'm thinking..

I gotta say, I really like the pic with it all black ( wheels included). That looks sick. Makes me wish I still had the old '71 electra I robbed for my engine. If I ever find another one, I think I might try to copy some of what you've done. I really like it, nice work. Oh yeah, welcome to the board!:beer

    Hmmm-

I don't know, seems like it fit right in at the dealership- "Fast With Class".

That thing looks good on the ground! I think I actually liked the red oxide the best though. Something about the combination of paint, wheels (and caps), and thin whitewalls. Opinions are like a$$holes though . . .

Im one of those guys who likes it "stock looking"... but with that said... you've done some awesome things to the 71... I think my fav is the yellow and white...with the red oxide a very close second.
Love the tail lights, and skirts, and it looks awesome no matter the color laying on the ground. Me likey :beer
