My name is Keith in Nashville. Recently purchased a 1967 GS400

Although it is a coupe, automatic, it has the accessory switch on the dash. Wasn't that just used for convertible tops ? What is it's function.
Also I cab't understand the car tag ? Trying to figure out original color, is painted Irish mist green or close now, don't know for sure

Sweet '67!

 

Accessory switch was also used for rear window defroster.

 

My 67 has the rear defogger and it is run by the accessory switch

 

Also the acc switch was used on wagons for the electric tailgate window

 

Looks like your car was originally platinum mist with a black top - that would have been a striking combination

 

Hmmh, don't think I have rear defogger, but that makes perfect sense, thanks. I'll check first thing tomorrow.

The car was painted this color I guess about 25 years ago. I'll have to find that original color combinstion. The story goes that the original owner had to sell the car because of a divorce, so ...

 

Thanks, my friend had it for 22 years. It's in great shape. Fast with Class. I'm putting electric cut outs on later this month. With the rear air bags it has a great stance.

Yes, the P is Platinum and 2 is black vinyl top or conv top - odd that the top and trim was removed
