1969 GS 400 4 speed. Verde Green, Black top with Black Bucket seats and consolette. I was going to wait until the car arrived in my driveway. But I got confirmation the car will be picked up in the next couple of days so that's close enough. This car was advertised in the BCA Buick Bugle. I phone within minutes of getting the magazine. Dave Hartman, the seller, advised that he had several calls already who were waiting for pictures. He also said that his brother might buy it so he was really unsure about what was happening with the car. I put a call out here for someone close and Michael Evans responded. He looked at the car and took some pictures for me within 2 days. As soon as I saw the pictures I phoned the owner and said I will buy it. It took another 4 days for his brother to finally decide he couldn't buy it. So the car was mine! I WANT TO PULICLY THANK MICHAEL FOR HIS HELP! :beers2: Without it I never would have made the deal. I will post more pics once the car arrives. Harvey
It arrived last night! Unfortunately after border hours to export a car (8 - 4 Monday thru Friday). Now I have to wait until Monday morning to get it home. Here's a pic on the truck from last night. Oh, yes it is as good as the seller described. Harvey
Harvey, Its easier to get in illegally from Mexico to the US than to get a car in legally from US to Canada.:Smarty: I have never had the chance to tell you how great your Blue 67 looks. I bought a yellow car off the board thinking it was nice 67 but got a suprise. If you ever decide to sell it let me know.
Ed, LOL. Exporting a car is quite easy except for the hours of business which is a pain. Thank you for the compliment on my 67. I now have 3 cars and room for only 2 but I doubt my 67 GS will be leaving anytime soon. At this point, the "ugly step child" 442 will be the sacrificial lamb. Unfortunately it's a 4 speed which is the reason I bought it and I also hate to see it go. But a decision will be made in the next couple of months. If the 67 GS goes I will let you know because eventually I have to get down to 1 which is the reason the seller sold this 69. o No: Harvey
Here she is, home safe and sound today! I drove it home from the border this morning, about 40 miles. The car is very solid, drives like a new car and the body is super straight. I'm a happy 4 speed owner. It needs a few little things like the heater control repaired, driver seat cover repaired (small tear), tune up, shifter rubbers and a stock AM/FM radio to replace the aftermarket one. All this is only a few days work so I'm not complaining!
Nice Car Harvey. I have a soft spot for 69's because my first GS was a 69 GS400. how on earth will you ever decide what car to drive?
The tougher decision is going to be which car to let go. I only have room for two and I've got three. Harvey
harv think up stackin lift ? 2000 us will get you one here in seattle I have a number of a guy here need about 10.6 to 12 is side your shop let me know I'll get the number Ken
Ken Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have enough height in my garage. I'm not going to do anything rash at this point. I am bringing the 67 to Puyallup and the 69 to BCA in July. I'll see you at one, or both events. Thanks everyone for your comments. I'm very pleased with the car. The seller was a very forthright type. A very typical Buick owner! :beers2: Harvey
Congrats, nice find Harvey, you plucked it from Hoosier land right under our noses and it is a 4 speed to boot. Enjoy banging those gears.
