Ok, here it is. We finally got it home last Saturday (only took 3 weeks to set it up, and it was only 20 mins away). Nothing special, but I couldn't pass it up for $500 being that close.
    Enjoy.

    Cool!

Looks like a 67 front end?

Yeah, but the VIN says it's a 66 :Do No: I think someone just changed the grille around. Not sure why, but maybe it's what they had around :Do No:
    Thanks,

hood, bumper, and grill are 67. It looks like it lines up ok. Probably had the front clip changed at some time. Maybe a fender bender. Check the core support, and front frame rails. Still, it looks good! A very good deal!

    Nice find! :beer
Those '66 Skylarks are a great platform to do a few mods on....Add some disk brakes, a fast-ratio steering box, bigger sway bars, and you'll have a great driving car! I did up a '66 Special a few years ago, and recently picked up another parts car for its manual tranny setup. Can't wait to shift thu the gears!
So, what are your plans for the car? Cruiser, race car????
    Have fun!

I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet. I've thought about maybe a GS clone, and set it up for possibly some stock class racing. I have also thought about putting a 455 in it and making a sleeper. I need to finish the 68 first, then I'll get into this 1.
    Thanks,

Anyone have any other ideas for it :Do No:

No offense to the '67 guys... but I think you'll definately be much happier with a '66 grill. They're not that hard to find, and in my humble opinion, look a lot sharper.

    '66 Skylark

My '67 Lark Conv was just the opposite. '67 with a '66 front clip. I switched the hood, grill, bumper and core support back to '67. The '66 fenders still work with the '67 stuff but are definitely a little different up front where they meet the core support. Leave it or change it, for $500 you really can't go wrong.
