A local guy bought this car out of the west about 15-17 years ago and had it restored as original except the interior, wheels and transmission (TH350). It is a really nice looking car but doesn't drive and handle very well and has no AC. To me, it was a good start but it was unfinished. I bought it and will drive it on long road trips, so I am putting my personal stamp on it. I am just about finished with the AC Install, gauges, stereo, etc. and have documented that under the Classics forum. It is a major undertaking to say the least. I am also having the buckets seats rebuilt with new springs and padding, so they are comfortable and not worn out. Next on the list is suspension and brake updates. I am going to install FatMan dropped spindles, new Eaton Detroit springs, new sway bars and Viking double adjustable shocks. A new set of tires to replace the old 13 year old ones and I hope to be cruising soon.
Here is the dashboard and engine after I installed the AC. I also installed new gauges and changed the color scheme some. I made the vents nearest the doors and put the others where the ash tray used to reside.
