Standard interior and the flames are less apperant in the daylight the flash from the camera really makes them stand out. The flames are growing on me i must say. :)

I bought this car to replace my wifes 74 MGB ( for sale ) so she can take my daughter, New gransdon, and dog for rides on sunny days. A little hard in the MGB HAHAHA

no kidding i looked around for some wheels to replace he stock 14X5" rims and hubcaps ( yuck ) as soon as i could. I found these late 70's ford 14 X 7 with 225/60/15 rubber. Back spacing is 4 1/2" these cars have small wheel wells and these fit pefectly. I paid $200 for the set :) On my trip to the portland swap meet this april I know what size of mags to look for now. With rims and tires i like the bigest that will fit hahaha

Nice looking GT! I have a '66 too that I have rebuit just about everything on since I bought it about 4 years ago. I swapped in a roller cammed 302 with Edelbrock heads and a T-5 5 speed. They don't ride like the Buicks but they are fun to drive. Here's mine. Enjoy your Mustang.

Great looking Mustang GT I have looked into a swap to an AOD but I will see how the wife likes it how it is now after all its her car :TU:

I love the shelby hood on yours and if i decide to paint it I may add that as well what size are your rims I really like the look I may go with the same but in polished ( its what the wife likes )

You are right they sure dont ride or drive like a Buick but after all what does hahahaha and it doesnt hurt any of us to see what the less fortunate folks drive from time to time

15" will fit on these I ran them myself just have to use the right size tires. The best one I had was a project fastback. It was a wanna be Shelby I ran 15x6 but I do not remember the tires.

The wheels on mine in that picture are 15x7 rear and 15x4 front. I have since sold the 15x4's and have 15x7's all around with radial T/A'sand have lowered the car an inch. There is a website that has a list of just about any wheel size and tire combination that works on these cars, it is http://www.dodgestang.com

Just saw this thread. Super nice 'Stang Ken. :TU: :beer Long time fan of the first gen Mustangs here.

My brother used to have a 65 GT back in the 80's. I think it's still around somewhere in the Peg, according to my youngest brother at least.

Very nice Mustang. I have a '67 Coupe GT 390 myself.

Then engine is currently getting rebuilt with a mild stroke and a .060 over to bring it to about 435cu. The car came with an old Edelbrock Streetmaster 390 aluminum intake and I'm going to run it. I bought a Professional Products PowerJection III kit for some EFI goodness but looks like a carb. Hooker headers and I'm thinking on going with the Magnaflows.

Suspension is full tubular Global West up front, QA-1 single adjustable shocks on all four corners. SSBC aluminum brakes up front with drilled and slotted rotors. Rear is still leafs.

Car was originally Burnt Amber with a parchment interior. Someday it'll be back to that.
