Looking for the 65 Skylark GS I owned from 1970-72. Yeah, I know it was a long time ago, but I really loved that car. I made a youthful error in judgement back in the day, regretted it ever since. I purchased the car in 1970 from Vince Whibbs Pontiac in Pensacola FL. It was originally a California built car, purchased in Washington state. This was a Silver, black interior, 4 speed, 2dr hardtop. It would no longer have the 401 in it, as I put in a 350 Chevy engine. (I have never done anything that stupid again). Muncie 4 spd, not the T10 it came with. I blew the T10. The short console was removed. The left rear quarter had been hit, (2 days after I had it painted in '71) repair would show in the trunk. There was also some misalignment of the trunk above the lock. In the interior, there would be 2 holes drilled on the lower section of plastic on the dash, to the right of the steering wheel. I had mounted the factory tach there, when I removed the console. I was in the Navy, stationed in Jacksonville FL when I sold it, and it changed hands once more. I believe it ended up in W Virginia, owned by another sailor. I am starting a serious hunt for this car. Any help would be appreciated. Another regrettable error, in 1989 when I retired from the Navy, I passed up another 65 GS 4spd car in Virginia Beach VA. Duh, can't believe I did that!
