You're welcome, John! Thank you for your help and kind words. Yep, just like two peas in a pod, we is! Last night the girlfriend and I were sitting on "my chair" watching TV. I have a chair that is just wide enough for you and your sweetheart, depending on the size of her. Well, I popped on here just to check what was new during a commercial break, and saw your first post of the evening. Then the 2nd. Then after the 3rd I figured you were having a good time like you and I had on St. Patrick's Day "together" hahaha . So I just let you go without saying anything, but I showed my girlfriend your posts and she kept laughing......always a good time when Waterboy is around! Hopefully the car gets here in the next few days and we'll have some pics to share.
It has arrived! This thing is freakin' HUGE. Supposed to be the same length as my white one but we'll see. I'm thinking it's at least a foot longer, going to be interesting in the garage.
What an amazing design! You got lucky finding a super example of what you were looking for. The taillights look like jet engines.
What a beauty! That was damn fast shipping. Let us know who you used and if you would recommend them.
Hey Chris I told Lucas shoot that car will be there quick with this whole thing going on no one is on the freeways ..... HAMMER DOWN TRUCKIN
Heck yeah it was, he was 4 days earlier then he said! They picked it up 2 days after I put the order in. Used a company called ShipLux, the carrier had Aston Martins, a mid engine Vette, and a few other cool things in it. I got them down to $2500 from Florida to here in Montana, really great communication the whole way. Couldn't be happier with the whole shipping situation......Look at the dumba$$ behind that wheel. Smiling like a fool.
Bet that thing took up two spaces in the transport truck. Good bargaining. So....how sweet is the ride?
No clue yet, got delivered to work on my lunch break so I drove it down the street and back . I'll take it for a proper cruise tonight.
Wow, what a nice clean car! Looks beautiful, good luck with her Lucas!.................... I'm really diggin' those wheel covers.
Thanks Nick! They are actually Kelsey Hayes Saber wheels of a 1950s Caddilac. I was going to change them out, but now I'm not sure. I'm liking them in person myself.
Awesome car! I don't see a thing I would change! And you're right, those trim pieces on the inside door panels look killer! Congrats on getting the ride you really wanted and not having to settle on something close. You might have to make those fins retractable to fit in the garage HaHa!
Lucas!!! AWESOME!!! Glad you got your toy. This is all I have for you. Have a great evening!!!! PS, it shines more in sunshine!
Thank you everyone! Shockingly, the car is much, much smaller then the '70. The specs say they are the same length, but I can make a complete lap around this car no problem and the '70 I only have enough space to open the driver's door and my tool box. I'd say this is a good 8 inches shorter and a foot narrower then old whitey in actuality (comparison pic included) It's also shockingly shorter, height-wise, then the Mustang. It's lower then the Riv! Luckily this exhaust is tucked so it doesn't rub at all where the Riviera did every time in my driveway......getting aquainted.... oh, and drives FANTASTIC!
