I just bought a Edelbrok 600 cfm carb with electric choke. I was wondering if anybody had already done this? I'm trying to figure out which one of the of the vacuum ports to plug it into. (front left or front right) I couldn't check with it running because the car never ran. I would appricate the help.

I just had one installed on my 55 Century. What a difference in performance and how the car runs out overall. Got rid of the oil bath filter system, and used a 67 GS 400 Star Wars aircleaner just for fun.

I'll have to look it over this weekend and get back with you on the ports.

Does anybody know anything about these carbs?

Does the vacuum advance have a vacuum at idle or just when accelerating. i really need to know this inorder to get this beast going.

The vacuum advance only needs 'ported' vacuum, as in when the throttle is open. Vacuum at idle will throw your timing off. IT will be too high at idle and if you adjust it at idle, it will not reach full advance when driving. You can use the constant vacuum source for your vaccum wipers if your fuel pump is not a dual action type.
