Well, i ordered all of my stuff to rebuild the 401 this week, hopfully they will be here next week. IT will be bored .060, crank .020 mains .030 on rods. Ordered a TA25 Cam from TA Perf, along with Stage 1 springs and neoprene main seals. She should be a runnner.......I CAN"T WAIT to get started on assembling her, and then hear her run again!!! i'll try and keep you posted, i am working nights 4p.m. to 2a.m. now so i don't have much time on the computer. :beer :TU: :laugh:
Casey, make sure to keep us Nailheads informed of each step. I'm very intersted in pics as you proceed (if it's possible) or at least a report every now and then. I'm especially interested in how that cam performs. What pistons did you use?
I am just using the pistons that come in the Northern Auto Parts rebuild kit, i know kind of a cheap piston but i have had pretty good luck with them in SBC's
