name the body panel please

    On the 455 73 Regal that I just got (I hope you all read the thread I put on the bench about the little old lady from Pasadena), the panel between the rear window and the front of the trunk lid looks rusty under the paint. What is the name of this panel? What is the cheapest way to fix it and seal it from the rain & rust?

    from what i can tell by my book, this is called a, panel assembly, compartment, front. ( component of item # 14 ) item # 14 is panel, rear seat to back window.

    doubt you will ever see an nos one, probably need good used if it needs to be replaced.

    i dont know what to tell you about repairs.

    The true name for it is the upper deck panel.

    john , upper deck panel is the term for what you would ask for if you go to the junkyard. what i posted was what the buick book calls it. very seldom do the junkyards go by the factory name on items like this. good luck
