OK the car has been sitting for the winter. I have since found two leaking vacuum lines both of which were concealed by wire braid. I have made the repairs to the vacuum lines. I'm a little confused the car smalls rich at idle but acts lean otherwise. The plugs were white when I pulled them. I increased gap to .045 which only made the problem occur at higher rpm.
