This is a total buick event. i don't care if you have a buick somerset ok maybe a somerset is pushing it. Bring the GN all buicks welcome.
(Sorry about the "repeat") Thanks Phil...well there goes my excuse to buy another car...whew! http://community.webshots.com/album/50069168RnvvVi
Lets put a buick motor in that model A . we (our family) have a 1913 ford CCab and 39 ford deluxe coupe and a 37 slant back (project)
Check out the post a few back! 57 Riviera! How about some 1.8 Turbo Skyhawks, or a 57 Roadmaster:grin: You get the message. if it says BUICK on the car bring it!
Present, in Houston. FYI- at last month's Houston Buick Club gathering, there were 6 or 7 V8 Buicks and 20 or so TR's. There were 2 more V8's that were on route, but turned back due to bad weather. If you want to get in touch with the entire membership, you can contact Doug Conner at "captaininsane_o@mail.com".
Hey David, Which will you be driving, Beauty or Beast? Beast or Beauty? Are you going to do a Buick "convoy" from the Dallas area going down south? Of course you know why I ask. (I don't have AAA) Any plans on accommodations and what day it will be held on or am I getting too far ahead? Dee
Dee plans are tenative but sometime at the beginning of september unless we happen to get 100 cars. to race then we may have other plans. Dee this means you have plenty of time to get the buick running well.
Fellow Texan here!! Houston area. I have two buddies in Tomball with big block buick cars that do not visit this site.
same here i have about 25 or so older buicks 60's/ 70's and a few TR here in austin I will be calling soon to see if they want to commit to the San Antonio deal.
I may take both cars, pull the GN on a trailer, and have my wife drive the GS! Or maybe use the GS to pull the GN o No: just a thought. But I hope to bring both cars either way. The convoy is a good idea, about 5 of us traveled that way down to SA last year. And yes it will be on a Saturday. There was a Best Western (Alamo Country Inn) that we stayed at last year in Seguin on I10, it's only a few miles from the track.
Still trying to figure out a way I can go. Want to go even though I can't race. Would I be invited to tag along with you guys from up here and if so, how fast do you drive? Wouldn't want to hold up things. Isn't it about 5 hours down there? The longest trip it's been on was to Ardmore, OK 12 years ago when it was in good working order. Maybe I'd better wimp and take the new car. It's got A/C! Forgot to mention that you still owe me a drink!!! :beer :beer :beer Remember?
Your more than welcome to come along with us, if were pulling the GN about 60-65 mph is tops. Hell I'll buy ya a whole 6pack:beer :beer :beer at the next event! Would you be willing to come out early on the 19th of April at our 1st Chucks Cruise Night this year and help out? :TU:
